The M·A·C AIDS Fund United States Community Grants Program supports organizations working to address the link between poverty and AIDS through grants for programs that provide housing services to people living with HIV and AIDS. Priority will be given to organizations that:

  • Provide people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) to secure safe, permanent housing
  • Target PLWHA who face challenging barriers (i.e. a history of incarceration, low-income, youth, drug users, transgender, immigrants)
  • Meet housing needs in underserved or resource-poor communities
  • Operate under low-threshold housing models with few or no prerequisite requirements (i.e. sobriety or income contributions)
  • Demonstrate sustainability
  • Participate in policy-level housing advocacy

Funds may be used for costs associated with housing-based supportive services (e.g. case management and mental health services); securing or developing units and facilities; improving housing capacity; tracking and monitoring outcomes of existing housing assistance programs; housing-related research projects; and policy-level local and nation housing advocacy.
