| Purpose | The National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program awards scholarships students who are pursuing one of the following degrees:
Scholarship recipients must commit to providing primary care health services at a Health Professional Shortage Area upon completion of their degrees. Recipients are expected to provide one year of service for each year of the scholarship. |

The scholarship pays for tuition and education-related expenses and also provides a monthly stipend for living expenses in exchange for a minimum of two (2) years of full-time service at an NHSC-approved site in a HPSA. |
