Purpose

Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) Opportunity Fund will support innovative ideas and approaches that will have a lasting impact on the health of individuals and communities in Missouri most in need. The program is especially focused on ideas that seek to improve, challenge, or disrupt the systems or circumstances that allow inequities to exist.

Projects must align with the core values of the Foundation:

  • Equity
  • Integrity
  • Humility
  • Commitment

Projects should:

  • Contribute toward an enabling environment for improving health equity
  • Drive lasting systems change on a carefully selected number of key issues
  • Support key opportunities to advance our vision and mission
Eligibility

Eligible applicants include:

  • Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations
  • Government agencies, including educational institutions
  • Programs with a nonprofit fiscal sponsor

Amount of funding

Award amounts are not specified. Ideas of any size and scope may be submitted for consideration. Budgets should align with the scope of the project

Application process

Links to additional guidance, application instructions, and the online application system are available on the program website.

Submit a concept paper by April 30, 2024. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.
