The Tribal Youth Program (TYP) offers grants to prevent and reduce juvenile delinquency and strengthen a fair and beneficial juvenile justice system response for American Indian and Alaska Native youth. Funding allows tribes to develop, expand, and strengthen approaches along the juvenile justice continuum that can range from prevention to intervention and treatment.

This is Purpose Area #9 of the Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation (CTAS). Applicants may choose from multiple purpose areas and submit a single proposal.
Eligible applicants are federally recognized tribes and consortia consisting of 2 or more federally recognized tribes.
Award ceiling: $100,000-$500,000
Expected number of awards: 20
Project period: 2-5 years
Estimated total Purpose Area funding:
$8,475,000
