Purpose

The Oklahoma Dental Loan Repayment Program (ODLRP) offers loan repayment assistance to dentists who agree to teach at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, if applicable faculty positions are available, or practice in a Dental Health Professional Shortage Area of Oklahoma.

An exemption from the requirement to practice in a designated dental health professional shortage area is allowed for Pediatric Dentistry Specialists or any dentist practicing in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), FQHC look-alike, county health department, or city-county health department.

Applicants must agree to a full-time service contract for a minimum of 2 years, maximum of 5.

Eligibility

Applicants must have received a dental degree within the previous 5 years. Preference will be given to graduates of the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.
