The Rural Health Clinic Policy and Clinical Assessment Program will award funding for one organization that will work to identify key policy, regulatory, and clinical challenges facing Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) and identify possible solutions. The awardee will work to inform RHCs and other rural stakeholders about key RHC issues, including regulatory and programmatic changes that affect care delivery.

The awardee will identify gaps in knowledge among RHCs and will propose tools, resources, and strategies to address them. Such issues will include:

• Regulatory and program compliance
• Billing and reimbursement
• Quality improvement
• Best practices
• Disease management
• Care coordination
• FORHP and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services priorities:
  • Opioid abuse
  • Mental health
  • Childhood obesity

Eligible applicants include domestic public, private, for-profit and nonprofit organizations, including tribes and tribal organizations, and faith-based and community-based organizations.

Award ceiling: $100,000 a year
Project period: 3 years
