Purpose

The purpose of the Telehealth Resource Center Grant Program is to support the establishment and development of Telehealth Resource Centers that will provide technical assistance to healthcare organizations, healthcare networks, and healthcare providers in the implementation of cost-effective telehealth programs to serve rural, frontier, and medically underserved areas and populations. Resource centers should provide training and support, disseminate information and research findings, promote effective collaboration, and foster the use of telehealth technologies to provide healthcare information and education for providers and stakeholders.

This funding cycle will support up to 12 Regional Telehealth Resource Centers that will serve as focal points for advancing the effective use of telehealth technologies in their respective communities and States.

This opportunity will also fund 2 National Telehealth Resource Centers, one that will focus on policy issues and one with a focus on technical issues. Both will have a national focus and must demonstrate a high level of experience and knowledge their respective areas.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include public and private nonprofit entities, including faith-based and community organizations, as well as federally-recognized tribal governments and organizations.
