| Purpose |
To provide funding that strengthens the capacity of organizations and communities to improve access to care and better health for Arizona's most vulnerable populations.
Their key criteria are focusing on vulnerable populations, exploring ways to increase organization and community capacity to improve health, looking for ways to leverage other community resources, and sustaining collective efforts going forward. |
| Eligibility |
To be eligible for a community grant, an organization must:
Demonstrate tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Services Code or be recognized as an instrumentality of state/local government.
Be located in Arizona. |

funding |
Grants range from $1,000 to $100,000 and one to two years in duration. The typical grant is a one year grant between $25,000 and $30,000.

Application
process |
St. Luke's Health Initiatives considers grant requests at quarterly meetings of the Board of Trustees in September, December, March and June.
Applicants are encouraged to submit a brief letter of intent, to include the legal name and address of your organization, a succinct summary of the project, the amount requested, and the name and telephone number of the contact person. The applicant will receive a response letter that presents feedback about how well the proposal fits with the interests of SLHI. The applicant may be asked to submit a full proposal or a suggestion for seeking funding elsewhere.
