Purpose Supports EMS activities within the five counties of the Colorado RETAC. This includes Boulder, Clear Creek, Gilpin, Grand, and Jefferson Counties. For the next 2 years for FY-10 and FY-11, they will prioritize grant applications that stress MCI preparedness. Higher scores will be given to grant applications that address MCI preparedness or compliment any of the RETAC’s goals.
Eligibility Anyone involved in EMS activities within the Foothills RETAC is eligible to apply for this grant. The Foothills RETAC has 9 medical facilities, 25 prehospital transporting agencies within our boundaries, along with 64 Fire agencies, many of which perform patient care. All of these agencies may apply.

Amount of
funding
This grant should be viewed as a small grant in comparison to the state’s EMS Provider Grants. Any amount can be asked for, but please keep in mind that the FRETAC will be looking at the entire region when scoring these grants, and they only have a total of $25,000 to give out.
Application
process
See website for application form.

The Grant cycle begins November of each year. These funds are awarded in December of each year.
