| Purpose |
These funds support short-term activities conducted by an organization and their partners to advance policy change at the local level. |
| Eligibility |
To be eligible for Support for Local Tobacco Control Policy Change funding, an organization or acting fiscal agent must:
Be either a nonprofit organization exempt from federal tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code, or a government agency.
Have experience in tobacco control activities and/or policy advocacy.
Be geographically located within the MFH service area.
Be geographically located within the community or region in which it plans to work, or has staff located in the community or region in which it plans to work.
Serve as the lead organization and/or be part of a local coalition or partnership established in the proposed geographic community or region.
Possess the administrative ability to manage grant funds and the technical expertise to implement the proposed activities
Be registered with the Secretary of State to conduct business in Missouri and classified
by the state as being in good standing. Applicants not in good standing are ineligible to apply until their status has been resolved and reclassified to good standing.

Organizations may apply for up to 12 months of support and funding is limited to a maximum of $75,000. Current MFH grantees are encouraged to apply to this funding program
