| Purpose |
Despite mass media reporting that Hurricane Gustav spared New Orleans, the hurricane affected communities throughout the Gulf Coast region -- from Port Arthur, Texas to Pensacola, Florida. In response, the Gulf Coast Fund has established the Gulf Coast Emergency Response Fund to quickly distribute emergency grants of up to $5,000 to grantee organizations working in communities affected by this Hurricane Gustav and possible future disasters. |
