Purpose The CPH Program (formerly the Public Health Certificate) began in 2000. The KUSM-Wichita, Dept. of PMPH coordinates the sessions in partnership with the KDHE Office of Local and Rural Health. The program utilizes a blended learning approach incorporating on-line learning and on-site sessions. There are six 2-day training sessions with on-line inter-sessions. On-site trainings will be available at two locations (KUSM-W or KDHE) unless otherwise noted. Class times will typically be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Eligibility There are no academic prerequisites for the program. Preference will be given to state and county public health staff.

funding
Tuition for the program is $1,100 per applicant. The Kansas Association of Local Health Departments (KALHD) has received funding for scholarships through the generous support of the Kansas Health Foundation (KHF). The scholarships are for $750 and will require a match of $350 be provided by the scholar/employer. There are a limited number of scholarships available for the 2010 program.
