| Purpose |
The Ohio Division of EMS provides grant funding to EMS agencies for the
purchase of training and equipment. |

Awards will be need based. Applications will be scored based on the information
provided on the application. Award amounts will be determined by rank of score
and total funding available (requests for type and cost of equipment and training
are no longer required in the application process). Please see the Training and
Equipment/Expenditure Form under the grants section for a list of available
equipment. |
Application
process |
The downloadable application packet includes: program information and
guidelines, instructions, all required forms, and a list of training and equipment
approved for purchase. The application will also be available in an electronic
version on February 1, 2010 at the Ohio Division of EMS website
www.ems.ohio.gov (click on the “Grants” section to access the electronic
application).
There are only two ways to apply for the grant. 1.) Utilizing the hard copy. 2.) Using the
electronic application process with the electronic signature.
Applications can be completed on-line using the Ohio EMS website at
www.ems.ohio.gov Go to the grants section. Select the Electronic Application
System. You must have a user ID and password to electronically sign the grant
application. Only the person who is authorized to sign the application may obtain
the password and user ID by providing drivers license information. This password
information and access to the electronic application may be obtained at the above
website beginning February 1, 2009. Contact grants staff at the phone number
below if you are having difficulty accessing the grants system with your username
and password.
