| Purpose |
Grants to fund community projects that tackle issues such as hunger, housing, safety, education, research, natural resources, and cultural activities throughout rural Alaska. |
| Eligibility |
The Community Advisory Board evaluates each proposal using the following criteria: the need in the community, project benefits, the number of people that will benefit from the program, which individuals the award is intended for, and the ability to garner additional funding. |

funding |
$75,000 annually. In the December 2009 round of grants, CAB will allocate a total of $30,000. |
