| Purpose |
The Rapides Foundation invests a substantial portion of its grant funds in services and programs seeking to directly create and sustain enhancements in the physical and mental health measures of the community. The majority of these services and programs are (1) new or expanded clinical healthcare services or (2) programs promoting wellness and safe and healthy lifestyles.

| Eligibility |
The Foundation awards grants to organizations which are tax-exempt under IRS Section 501(c)(3) and are not a private foundation as described under Section 509(a). Projects must directly benefit residents or organizations within the nine parish Foundation service area: Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Grant, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Vernon and Winn.

Amount of
funding |
For 1-2 year Mini-Grants, the maximum grant is $10,000. For Program Priority Grants, up to $1,000,000 for four years of funding is allowed. |
Application
process |
Applicants should contact the foundation to discuss grant proposals prior to submission. A letter of intent is required for Program Priority Grants and must be submitted by the May 15th or October 15th deadlines. |
