Grants are given to community-based organizations that address underlying causes of the economic and social distress to the Central region of Appalachia.

Appalachian Regional Commission Substance Abuse Grants
Grants to assist communities in building sustainable capacity to provide for improved community interventions and services addressing issues of illegal drugs and prescription drug abuse.
    Geographic Coverage: 410 counties comprising all of West Virginia and parts of Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia

Family Professional Partnerships/CSHCN-Family Opportunity Act
Grants will fund state-wide, family-run centers providing information, education, technical assistance and peer support to families of Children with Special Health Care Needs.
