2009 Healthy Sprouts Awards
These awards support school garden programs that use the garden to teach about nutrition and the issue of hunger in the United States.

Active Living Research Round 9
Active Living Research is a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that supports research to identify promising policy and environmental strategies for increasing physical activity, decreasing sedentary behaviors and preventing obesity.

Active Living Research/Healthy Eating Research Rapid-Response Grants
Funding to support research to identify promising policy and environmental strategies for increasing physical activity, promoting healthy eating and preventing obesity.

Active Living Research: 2010 Translating Research to Policy Award
Award to recognize innovative teams or individuals representing research, policy and/or advocacy who have had success in catalyzing policy or environmental change of relevance to youth physical activity, sedentary behavior and obesity prevention.

Active Living Research: Investigating Policies and Environments to Support Active Communities
Research and Publication grants for new investigators for analyses of policies and environmental approaches that impact children's physical activity and sedentary behaviors.

AMA Foundation Fund for Better Health
Seed grants for grassroots, public health projects that target the issue of healthy lifestyles

Communities Creating Healthy Environments
Funding to prevent childhood obesity by increasing access to healthy foods and safe places to play in communities of color.

Creating Environments and Advancing Policies that Support Healthy Behaviors
Funding to reduce the prevalence of overweight and obesity in Oregon and southwest Washington.

Faith-based Advocacy: Galvanizing Communities to End Childhood Obesity
Funding to support faith-based coalitions to advance community policies or environmental changes that improve access to healthy foods and/or opportunities for physical activity.

Growing Up LEAN: Living to be Energetic, Active, & Nutritious
Funding for childhood obesity prevention efforts that can be incorporated into home, child care, school, and community settings to include healthy eating and appropriate physical activity.

Healthy Communities Grant Program: Supporting a Culture of Wellness and Prevention (Cycle 2)
Grants to improve the health of communities in South Dakota and Iowa.

Healthy Eating Research: Building Evidence to Prevent Childhood Obesity (Round 4)
The program supports research on environmental and policy strategies to promote healthy eating among children to prevent childhood obesity, especially among low-income and racial/ethnic populations at highest risk for obesity.

Healthy Habits for Life
Grants to help school nurses address childhood obesity.

Healthy Kids, Healthy Communities
This funding program places special emphasis on reaching children who are at highest risk for obesity on the basis of race/ethnicity, income and/or geographic location.

Hidden Valley Love Your Veggies Grant Program
Grants to support programs that increase student access to, and consumption of, fresh vegetables and fruits during school meals.

Salud America!
Funding to support research on environmental and policy solutions to the epidemic of obesity among Latino children.

Sunflower Foundation Walking Trails Grants
