FDA Teams with Everyday Health to Expand Reach of Health Information

Nov 19, 2009 -- On November 17, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Everyday Health announced a partnership that will expand the delivery of FDA’s vital consumer health information to the 30 million unique users who visit Everyday Health (www.EverydayHealth.com) each month.

Nov 18, 2009 -- USDA published a final rulemaking on the SFMNP on December 6, 2006
(71 FR 74618), that contained an estimated information collection
burden based on the rule's requirements for program operation and
administration. The Department is now
soliciting comments on the accuracy and reasonableness of this
estimated burden since the original SFMNP rulemaking.
USDA Report Revels Highest Rate of Food Insecurity Since Report Was Initiated in 1995
Nov 17, 2009 -- USDA's Economic Research Service's (ERS) today released its annual report on Household Food Security in the U.S., which revealed that in 2008, 17 million households, or 14.6 percent, were food insecure and families had difficulty putting enough food on the table at times during the year.
FDA Issues 2009 FDA Food Code
Nov 12, 2009 -- The Food and Drug Administration today announced the publication of the new FDA Food Code, a model code and reference document that provides a scientifically sound technical and legal basis for regulating the retail and food service segment of the food industry.
