What is the Rural Health Information Network?
The Rural Health Information Network (RHIN) is a project of the Rural Assistance Center (RAC). The goal of the RHIN is to provide a coordinated means of identifying and communicating rural health issues across various associations, agencies and researchers with an interest in rural health.
The Directory of Rural Health Contacts was designed
to facilitate information sharing and networking among individuals
and organizations with interests in rural health care in America.
The directory lists over
600 organizations, businesses and offices with members who are
interested in rural health issues. These include associations, foundations,
Federal offices, and media contacts. Additionally, the directory
provides a list of federally funded research centers conducting rural
health services research, as well as State Offices of Rural Health.
We have also included listings for the congressional staff of both
the Senate Rural Health Caucus and the House Rural Health Care Coalition.
