Nevada is a land of vast open plains, sheep, cattle, spectacular deserts and magnificent mountains. It is home to more than 50 percent of the Nation's wild horses. Nevada attracted early settlers during the mining boom with the discovery of one of the largest silver lodes in the world at Comstock Mine.
