Services offered Community Services Block Grant funded-staff planted two container gardens at the entrance to a clinic that serves clients from throughout central Aroostook. These mini gardens are very visible during the summer months when Aroostook County Action Program, Inc. hosts Family Farm Festivals to promote the Farmers Market Nutrition Program, which also encourages the use of fresh and nutritious fruits and vegetables.
Results Clients were provided with information on how to plant their own container garden, and recipes and information on how to prepare and store fresh produce were distributed.
