    Dr. Jeffrey Coughenour, a trauma surgeon at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington, is working with the Kentucky State Office of Rural Health, along with ambulance services and small hospitals in central, eastern and southern parts of the state, in an effort to establish a regional trauma care system.
