Purpose

Ohio EMS and Trauma System Grants are awarded to EMS agencies for training of personnel; purchasing of equipment and vehicles; and improving the availability, accessibility, and quality of emergency medical services. Supplemental funding is also available for EMS agencies experiencing serious economic difficulty.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are EMS agencies in Ohio.

Entities that research, test, and evaluate procedures, strategies, and systems related to the provision of emergency medical services in Ohio are eligible to apply under priorities 2-5 of this program.

The amount awarded is determined by the Ohio EMS Board and by the amount of funds available.

All funds are awarded through a reimbursement process.
