This program provides grants for projects designed to increase the access and quality of behavioral health services through behavioral health integrated team-based care models; and train the future nursing workforce to provide integrated behavioral health services in primary care settings through academic-practice partnerships.
Program goals include:
- Educate and train the current and future nursing workforce to provide interprofessional, evidence-based, integrated behavioral health services
- Reduce barriers to care by addressing social determinants of health through community-based partnerships
Eligible applicants are accredited schools of nursing, health care facilities, or a partnership of such a school and facility.
Award ceiling: $500,000 per year
Number of awards: 17
Project period: 3 years
Total funding available: $8,500,000
