Purpose

Ford Family Foundation Grants offer funding for small, rural communities in Oregon and Siskiyou County, California. Funding priorities include:

  • Large Good Neighbor Grants to strengthen families
  • Small Good Neighbor Grants to meet flexible needs including unforeseen emergencies that interrupt programming or services
  • Technical Assistance Grants for building internal capacity
Eligibility

Organizations must be located in rural communities with populations less than 35,000 and not adjacent to or part of an urban or metropolitan area in Oregon or Siskiyou County, California.

Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, or recognized tribes.

Amount of funding

Award ranges depend upon the program.

  • Large Good Neighbor Grants: Over $25,000 for programmatic and operating grants and above $50,000 for capital grants
  • Small Good Neighbor Grants: Up to $25,000 for programmatic grants and up to $50,000 for capital grants
  • Technical Assistance Grants: Up to $5,000
