Child and Family Well-Being Grants provide funding for programs that offer opportunities for vulnerable children in North Carolina and South Carolina. Funding is focused on advancing evidence-based, nationally recognized practices that promote child well-being in the areas of prevention, early intervention, and out-of-home care.
Grants are made in 3 funding categories:
- Implementation support for evidence-based programs
- Advocating for system improvements
- Advancing innovation
Past projects have included funding for:
- Early intervention services
- Supportive services
- Domestic violence shelters and programs
- Children's homes wellness programs
- Child abuse prevention and supportive services
- After-school programs
- Nurse-family partnership home visiting programs
- Evaluation of child-related programs
Accredited organizations and nonprofits in North Carolina and South Carolina are eligible to apply.
Awards vary based on the size and scope of projects.
Applicants must submit an online pre-application through the program website. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.
The online application opens approximately 6 weeks before the deadline.
