Michigan Good Food Loan Fund
The Michigan Good Food Fund offers financing for enterprises working to increase access to affordable, healthy food in low-income and underserved communities in Michigan.
Loans may be used for:
- Permanent working capital
- Inventory
- Equipment purchase
- Real estate acquisition
- Construction and property improvements
- Facility expansion or upgrades
- Business process upgrades
Program goals and priorities:
- Drive economic development and job creation to grow Michigan's economy
- Ensure equitable access to food, jobs, ownership, and flexible investment capital
- Increase the sourcing and supply of locally grown and regionally produced foods
Eligible entities are mission-driven enterprises working to increase access to healthy food in Michigan. This includes the range of businesses that grow, process, distribute, and sell healthy food that reaches low-income and underserved communities.
