The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation offers financial assistance for projects and activities that develop, manage, and protect water and related resources on tribal lands.

The program supports a broad range of activities including water needs assessments, improved water management studies, water quality data collection and assessments, and water measurement studies. Projects should address public health, safety, social risk, regulatory compliance, protection of water related resources, and/or drought conditions.

Eligible applicants are federally recognized Indian Tribes in the 17 Western States identified in the Reclamation Act of June 17, 1902.

Award ceiling: $400,000
Project period: 2 years
Estimated number of awards: 10-15
Estimated total program funding: $4,000,000
