Purpose

The Oklahoma Physician Assistant Scholarship Program provides forgivable loans to physician assistant students who agree to serve in a rural community of Oklahoma upon completion of their training. Loans are forgiven at the rate of one month of service per month of loan, with no credit being granted for anything less than 12 months.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Oklahoma residents who are currently enrolled in an accredited physician assistant program, have no other conflicting service obligations, and are not currently on a J-1 Visa.

Applicants must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA to apply.

Amount of funding

Loans of up to $1,000 per month. Loans are forgiven at the rate of one month of service per month of the loan.

One month of service in a rural community in Oklahoma is required per month of the scholarship.
