Purpose

CHS Community Investment provides grant funding for national and regional agricultural health and safety initiatives that provide training, equipment, and/or industry expertise to help keep farm families and rural communities safe.

Ag health and safety projects that will be considered include:

  • Educate youth or farmer audiences about the dangers associated with working in agriculture
  • Provide safety training to rural firefighters, farmers, ranchers, or agribusiness professionals
  • Develop safety guidelines for use on farms or agribusinesses
  • Support the health and well being of farmers and ranchers
Eligibility

Nonprofit 501c3 or related charities with ag safety and health initiatives that have a national approach or reach multiple states in the CHS trade area are eligible to apply.

The CHS trade area includes Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Projects at the local level qualify for the Seeds for Stewardship Program.
