Tribal Domestic Violence Programs COVID-19 Mitigation Grants
The STTARS Indigenous Safe Housing Center will offer grants for COVID-19 mitigation that supports tribal programs and community organizations serving indigenous survivors of gender-based violence at the intersection of housing instability and homelessness.
Funding may be used for:
- Housing application fees, first and last month's rent, utility deposits, and rental assistance
- Test kits and PPE
- Transportation vouchers
- Hotel vouchers
- Emergency food and water
- Care kits
- Pandemic-related ceremony, healing, and mental health services
- Cleaning supplies and air purifiers
- Technology to assist with remote work and case management
- Wellness activities
- Emergency funds to address pandemic-related depletion of employee/staff time-off
Eligible applicants are tribal domestic violence programs, shelters, and tribal nonprofit organizations.
