Purpose

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services will provide funding to implement digital literacy programming for rural men ages 25 and older and increase computer access for telemental healthcare in rural communities.

Required activities:

  • Implement digital literacy programs in rural areas of Wisconsin
  • Provide access, either directly or through partnering organizations, to technologies such as computers or tablets in confidential spaces for clients to attend telemental health appointments
  • Attend regular grantee calls with DHS staff
  • Provide quarterly progress reports related to strategy implementation and grant deliverables
  • Participate in quarterly partnership meetings
  • Work closely with the evaluator and injury epidemiologist to assess progress on strategy implementation
  • Participate in annual progress reporting to the CDC for completeness and accuracy
Eligibility

Eligible applicants are nonprofit, community-based organizations including, but not limited to:

  • Community colleges/universities
  • k-12 schools/school districts
  • Libraries
  • Community centers
  • Coalitions
  • Local Federally Qualified Health Centers or clinics
